Job summary

Lift Hockley is seeking a reliable and friendly Cleaner to join our school team. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff, with duties across classrooms and shared spaces.

The role requires previous cleaning experience, ability to use cleaning equipment, and adherence to health and safety and COSHH guidelines. 11 hours 15 minutes per week, mornings, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience and ability to use cleaning equipment.
• Experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH regulations and cleaning best practice is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, vacuum, polish and dust across classrooms, offices and shared areas.
• Empty bins and keep classrooms, offices and communal areas clean and tidy.
• Replenish hand towels, toilet rolls, hand soap and bin liners.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Support planned deep cleaning during school closures.
• Report maintenance, health and safety or stock issues to the school team.
• Complete relevant training and follow health and safety procedures.

Are you the missing link to our warm and friendly cleaning team?

We're looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Lift Hockley, helping us provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where our pupils can learn and our staff can do their best work.

About the role

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of our school. You'll help ensure our classrooms, offices and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard, creating an environment that our pupils and colleagues can be proud of.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing and dusting across different areas of the school.
• Emptying bins and helping to keep classrooms, offices and communal areas clean and tidy.
• Replenishing items such as hand towels, toilet rolls, hand soap and bin liners.
• Using cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Supporting planned deep cleaning during school closure periods.
• Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or stock issues to the appropriate member of the school team.
• Completing relevant training and following our health and safety procedures.

Previous experience of cleaning and using cleaning equipment is required. Experience working in a similar environment and knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH regulations and cleaning best practice would be an advantage.
