Job summary

Dalkia Energy Services Ltd. is seeking a reliable Cleaner for Birkenhead Park School. The role covers cleaning daily across classrooms and common areas, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The position is part-time (15 hours per week) with a salary of £12.71 per hour. Training and progression opportunities are available within our facilities management group.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• A reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Previous experience within a school, commercial or other customer-facing environment would further support your application.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across designated areas of the school.
• Clean and sanitise classrooms, washrooms, offices and communal spaces.
• Replenish consumables and cleaning supplies.
• Safely use cleaning equipment, products and materials.
• Follow cleaning schedules, site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Report any maintenance issues, damage or potential hazards.

Location: Birkenhead Park School, Birkenhead
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–6:00pm (15 hours per week)
Salary: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to support the delivery of cleaning services at Birkenhead Park School. You'll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors, while ensuring consistently high standards throughout the school.

You’ll be supporting an education environment where cleanliness, safety and presentation are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities
