Job summary

Parkdale Primary School is seeking a conscientious School Cleaner to join our friendly team. The role is part-time (10 hours per week) and permanent, with duties including general cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for pupils.

You will follow school procedures, use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, work with colleagues and on your own initiative, and have opportunities for professional development within Transform Trust.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Willingness to be trained to perform a range of cleaning duties safely.
  • Basic awareness of Health and Safety.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and ask for help when required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning of school buildings using chemicals and equipment.
  • Perform sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, dusting, mopping and sanitary maintenance.
  • Report faults and hazards to supervisor.
  • Assist other Cleaning staff as required.
  • Undertake training to maintain high standards.

£6701.62 actual salary per annum

Parkdale Primary School is seeking to appoint a conscientious and reliable cleaner to join our experienced and friendly team. The successful applicant will carry out general cleaning duties to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for our children.

We are a large, happy, multi-cultural school on the outskirts of the City of Nottingham, just (by a few hundred metres) into the County of Nottinghamshire. We are part of the Transform Trust, a multi-academy trust based in the East Midlands.

We pride ourselves on our caring, nurturing approach and going the 'extra-mile' to help children and their families. We are a community school, with several of the staff living in the neighbourhood and some even having attended here as pupils!

  1. To undertake the cleaning of the school buildings using the necessary chemicals and equipment.
  2. To carry out a range of Cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuum cleaning, floor polishing, dusting, mopping, maintaining sanitary items, etc.
  3. To comply with legislation, school procedures and safe working practices.
  4. To report faults and hazards to their Supervisor, as soon as possible.
  5. To assist members of the school Cleaning staff with other duties, as required.
  6. To undertake training relevant to their job, in order to ensure that their work is carried out to the highest possible standard.
  7. To work on own initiative, unsupervised whist carrying out their duties.
  8. To have a helpful attitude towards customers needs, at all times.
