Job summary

Cefn Saeson is seeking a reliable cleaner to join the school site staff. The role covers cleaning classrooms, corridors and facilities, with a 16-hour week schedule from 2.45 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm Friday, starting as soon as possible and in the first instance until 31 August 2027.

The post requires independent work and teamwork, with a focus on safety and hygiene in a school environment. Training is provided, and safeguarding procedures are in place.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues.
• Following health and safety regulations at all times.

Grade 1, SCP 3, £10,060 (subject to term time adjustment). The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1st September.

16 hours per week 2.45 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm Friday.

The post will also be required to work for 10 days in August.
