Job summary

Rochdale Council is seeking a cleaner for Rhodes Green CE Primary School in Middleton. The role is 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3:15pm–5:45pm, on a 52-week contract with holidays taken in school holidays.

Training and DBS check are required, and sponsorship is not available. The successful candidate will maintain high cleanliness standards around the school, including toilet cleaning, mopping, and use of cleaners and buffing equipment.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean toilets and floors (mopping).
• Vacuuming and window cleaning of internal glazing.
• Operate cleaning equipment (scrubbers, driers, buffing machines).

£13.45 per hour

About the Role:

Your working week is 12.5 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday 3.15pm-5.45pm. This is a 52 week contract and holidays are to be taken in school holiday period. Hours maybe subject to change to meet the needs of the school service.

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality service within a busy school. The ideal person should have good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team and be able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the school community. The ability to work alone to tight timescales is essential.

About You:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness around the school and duties will include toilet cleaning, mopping, cleaning of internal glazing, vacuuming, use of equipment include scrubbers driers and buffing machines.

Cleaning experience is essential, although persons with skills appropriate and a willing attitude are invited to apply.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service check, medical clearance and references.

Candidates who are unsuccessful after interview may be considered for Casual Cleaner positions within Facilities Management and further information will be provided.
