Job summary

Join Our Team at Fresh Kitchen in Rochdale. We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to prepare and deliver meals for pupils and staff in a busy school kitchen. The role is part-time, term-time only, 17.5 hours per week, with uniform provided and full training offered.

Applicants must reside within Rochdale or Oldham and be prepared for Enhanced DBS and background checks. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality meals for pupils and staff in a busy school kitchen.
• Work closely with school leadership and stakeholders to ensure meals meet requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and food hygiene in all kitchen activities.
• Attend the full training in Food Hygiene, Allergens, Safeguarding, and kitchen operations.

Job description

External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale (i.e where the household pays council tax to Rochdale Borough Council).

Salary: £26,427 pro rata. £13.70 per hour.

This is a part time, term time only role working 17.5 hours a week.
