Job summary

St Francis Catholic Primary School in Maldon, Essex is seeking a dependable School Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

This role is 12.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM) during term-time plus three weeks. Full training, equipment and DBS check are provided to support your success. You will clean classrooms, corridors, washrooms and shared areas and report issues to the Site Manager.

Qualifications

• No prior cleaning experience required; full training provided.
• Enhanced DBS check required and paid for by the school.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and shared areas to a high standard.
• Empty bins, dust and wipe surfaces; sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Clean and restock washrooms; report maintenance or repair needs to the Site Manager.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and safe cleaning procedures.

We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic School Cleaner to join St Francis Catholic Primary School based in Maldon, Essex. This is an important role that helps create a clean, safe, and positive environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors every day. No previous cleaning experience is needed — full training, support, and equipment will be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and shared areas to a high standard
• Emptying bins, dusting, and wiping surfaces
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning and restocking washrooms
• Following health and safety guidelines and safe cleaning procedures
• Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the Site Manager
