Job summary

Steeper Group is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our Leeds Head Office team on a 25-hour week. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across offices, communal areas and facilities, following our high hygiene standards and COSHH guidelines.

The role is based at our Head Office in Leeds. Working independently, you will manage daily cleaning tasks, report hazards, restock supplies when needed and support the wider team as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across offices, toilets, communal areas and other designated spaces.
• Undertake general cleaning tasks: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, waste disposal.
• Ensure cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals are used safely and stored correctly.
• Work independently to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and according to schedules.
• Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues, ensuring COSHH compliance.
• Support a clean, safe and welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our existing team based in Leeds. We are looking for a reliable and proactive Cleaner to join our team, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment at our Head Office working 25 hours per week. You will be responsible for carrying out daily cleaning duties across offices, communal areas and facilities, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Working independently, you will take pride in your work, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and contribute to a positive and professional working environment.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across offices, toilets, communal areas and other designated spaces, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Undertake general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and waste disposal.
• Ensure cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals are used safely, stored correctly and maintained in good working condition.
• Work independently to complete cleaning tasks efficiently, following agreed schedules and responding to urgent cleaning requirements when needed.
• Identify and report any hazards, maintenance issues or unsafe conditions, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures and COSHH regulations.
• Support a clean, safe and welcoming working environment for all colleagues and visitors.

Beneficial but Not Essential

• Previous experience working in a cleaning or housekeeping role, ideally within an office or commercial environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and other powered equipment.
• Previous experience following cleaning schedules and workplace hygiene procedures.
• Relevant cleaning, hygiene or Health & Safety training or qualifications.
