Job summary

The High School Leckhampton is seeking a Cleaner to maintain high cleanliness standards across the school, under the supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor. Flexible hours are available, from a few hours per week through to full-time opportunities.

Key duties include sweeping, mopping, using a scrubber dryer, dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, bin disposal, window cleaning and maintaining common areas. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a school

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient completion of duties.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with staff.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub with scrubber dryer, dust and vacuum surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise restrooms including toilets, sinks and mirrors.
• Empty bins and replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces and mirrors.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas as directed.
• Follow procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance or repair needs.
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed.

JOB PURPOSE:To ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the school, under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor

GENERAL INFORMATION

Applications are invited for the position of Cleaner at The High School Leckhampton.

Flexible hours are available, from a few hours per week through to full-time opportunities:

• Early mornings before 8:30am
• Evenings from 5:00pm onwards
• Monday – Sunday

MAIN DUTIES

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, using scrubber dryer, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
• Empty bins and replace liners
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and as directed
• Follow cleaning procedures and protocols set by the Cleaning Supervisor
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Notify cleaning supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs
• Restock cleaning supplies as needed
