Job summary

LVS Hassocks is recruiting two Domestic Assistants to join our Domestic Services team. You will clean designated areas of the school, helping provide a safe, welcoming and hygienic environment for pupils and staff. Full training will be provided, with emphasis on cleaning procedures and safety.

• Cleaning allocated classrooms, offices, communal areas and facilities
• Following cleaning schedules and maintaining high standards
• Using cleaning products, equipment and machinery safely
• Wearing the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment
• Keeping cleaning equipment and storage areas clean, secure and organised
• Reporting hazards, damage or maintenance issues to your supervisor
• Following health and safety, safeguarding and school procedures
• Supporting colleagues and covering other areas when reasonably required

Domestic Assistant (School Cleaner)

Pay: £13.88 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Working pattern: 52 weeks per year

Shift: The preferred hours are 6.00am-2.00pm. We can also consider 8.00am-4.00pm or a shift starting and finishing between these times.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Using cleaning products, equipment and machinery safely
• Wearing the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment
• Keeping cleaning equipment and storage areas clean, secure and organised
