Job summary

Woodlands Primary School & Nursery invites applications for a Cleaning Assistant. Based in Madeley, Telford, the role is 16.25 hours per week, 3:15 pm to 6:30 pm on Mondays and Fridays, on a temporary secondment starting September 2026.

Cleaning Assistant

Hours: 16.25 hours per week, 3:15 pm – 6:30 pm (Monday & Friday). Term: Temporary covering a secondment. Weeks: 48.09 weeks, term time plus four weeks. Hourly rate: £13.45. Position starts: September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support the cleaning team in ensuring standards are excellent and meet the cleaning specification for the school.
• Work to tight deadlines in a physically demanding role.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment desirable, though not essential.
• Reliable, flexible, thorough, efficient with good interpersonal skills and a professional manner.
• COSHH and Health & Safety training advantageous (training provided).
• All appointments subject to an enhanced DBS check.
