Job summary

LVS Hassocks is recruiting two Domestic Assistants to join our Domestic Services team. You’ll clean designated areas of the school, helping provide a safe, welcoming and hygienic environment for pupils, employees and visitors. Shift options include 6.00am-2.00pm, 8.00am-4.00pm, or a mix within these times.

Full training will be provided, and prior cleaning experience is helpful but not essential. You will work well as part of a team and uphold our values of Respect, Responsibility, Loyalty and

• Cleaning specified areas of the school to a high standard.
• Wearing appropriate uniform and PPE.
• Following health and safety, safeguarding and school procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning allocated classrooms, offices, communal areas and facilities
• Following cleaning schedules and maintaining high standards
• Using cleaning products, equipment and machinery safely
• Wearing the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment
• Keeping cleaning equipment and storage areas clean, secure and organised
• Reporting hazards, damage or maintenance issues to your supervisor
• Following health and safety, safeguarding and school procedures
• Supporting colleagues and covering other areas when reasonably required
