Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Medirest, is hiring a full-time Cleaner to join our healthcare cleaning and facilities teams. The position is contracted to 35 hours per week and involves supporting safe, hygienic environments for clients and patients.

You'll work a hands-on role across shifts (5 out of 7 days) and perform general cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste. Previous experience is not essential, but flexibility and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• Must-have organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on, practical cleaning approach.
• Flexible to work shifts and duties as required.
• Cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and other touchpoints regularly.
• Empty, dispose of bin waste and monitor stock of cleaning supplies.
• Perform spill cleanup quickly and efficiently as needed.
• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic.
• Help maintain high hygiene standards across healthcare environments.

We're currently recruiting a full time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Healthcare, contracted to 35 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: 5 out of 7 days

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
