Job summary

Proclad Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to support manufacturing-site facilities in Scotland. You will perform routine cleaning across offices and production areas, maintaining hygiene standards and supporting site housekeeping.

Responsibilities include vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, dusting and polishing surfaces, replenishing consumables, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Experience on a manufacturing site is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning of a manufacturing site.

• Ability to use cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles and transporting waste to designated recycling points.
• Vacuuming carpeted floors.
• Mopping floors with damp mops using correct colours.
• Dusting, damp wiping or polishing furniture and fittings.
• Replenishing consumables (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels).
• Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks.
• Working in accordance with Health & Safety coordinators’ instructions.

Job description

• Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated recycling collection points.


• Vacuuming all relevant carpeted floors.


• Mopping floors with wet or damp mops using the correct coloured mop for each area.


• To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.


• To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) when required.


• To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks.


• The use of chemical agents as directed by the Health and Safety Co-ordinator in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training.


• Ensuring all area are clean and tidy as all times.


• Experienced in cleaning of a manufacturing site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• In addition to your normal duties, ensure all work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner as per company procedures.


• Ensure maximum productivity & adherence to Health & Safety procedures.


• Be proactive and work efficiently in daily tasks without the need for constant supervision.
