Job summary

Vertas Group in Chesterfield is seeking a Cleaner to join our Facilities Team. Based at Birdholme Sure Start Children Centre, you will maintain high cleanliness standards and support customers daily.

You will handle toilets, surfaces, floors, and shared spaces, with DBS checks required. The role is 9.5 hours per week across Mon-Thu 6am-8am and Fri 6am-7:30am, 52 weeks a year.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Enhanced DBS check is required — if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it.
• Great communication skills and experience in a similar cleaning setting.
• Team player with excellent service across the Vertas Group.

About the Role:

Based at Birdholme Sure Start children Centre, Chesterfield, S40 2EU, you will be working 9.5 Hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 8am & Friday 6am - 7.30am. 52 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets and washrooms
• Wiping down tables and surfaces
• General cleaning duties across communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
