Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our Facilities Team at Saint Elizabeth School DE562JD. The role is part-time, 12.5 hours per week (4pm–6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, term time only).

You will maintain high cleanliness standards and support a positive customer experience for students and staff. The successful candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, the ability to work independently, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Enhanced DBS check is required – if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it.
• Great communication skills and experience in similar cleaning setting.
• A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group.
• The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind.
• The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation.

About the Role:

Based at Saint Elizabeth School DE562JD you will be working 12.5 hours a week, 4pm to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday for 38 weeks per year (term time only).You'll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness to a high standard that meets our standards and delights our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets, Nursey & Reception Area
• Wiping down desks, offices, tables, windowsills, ledges, etc.
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
