Job summary

Eastern Education Group are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment for students and staff. This permanent role is based at sites in Bury St Edmunds.

You will clean classrooms, offices, toilets and communal areas, vacuum and mop floors, handle spills, clean windows, replenish supplies and carry out deep cleans as scheduled. As a key holder you will open and secure the premises at the start and end of shifts, reporting

Eastern Education Group are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment for students and staff. This role is essential in ensuring the sites meet high cleanliness and health standards.

You will be responsible for cleaning designated areas of the sites, following all relevant health and safety procedures. Your duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas, vacuuming and mopping floors, and responding promptly to spills when required. You will also be responsible for cleaning windows, replenishing supplies, and carrying out deep cleans as scheduled to ensure all areas of the sites are kept to a high standard.

As a key holder, you will be required to open and secure the premises at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring all doors and windows are locked and alarms are set correctly. You will take responsibility for the safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment, report any maintenance issues, security concerns, or health and safety hazards to the site manager, and ensure that the building remains secure when occupied or vacant.

This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members of the Group community.
