Job summary

Serco is recruiting on behalf of Northern Community Leisure Trust for a Cleaner at Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre. The role offers casual shifts with early mornings and weekends, paying £12.85 per hour plus benefits. DBS checks and occupational health questionnaires are part of the vetting process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
• Follow health and safety requirements when handling cleaning chemicals.

• Clean and return all equipment used.
• Support customers with general enquiries about the facility.
• Assist with additional tasks as requested by a Supervisor or Duty Manager.

What you’ll do as a Cleaner

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
• Provide a safe working environment when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Follow all health and safety requirements while colleagues and customers are onsite.
• Work to cleaning schedules and ensure checklists are accurately completed.
• Manage and maintain stock levels, keeping records up to date.
• Clean and return all equipment used.
• Maintain an understanding of the facility to support customers with general enquiries.
• Complete any additional tasks requested by a Supervisor or Duty Manager.

• Experience in a similar cleaning role or environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Vetting and checks:

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
