Job summary

Serco Limited, recruiting on behalf of Northern Community Leisure Trust, is seeking a Cleaner for Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre. The role involves maintaining high cleaning standards, ensuring safety with cleaning chemicals, and supporting visitors with inquiries in a welcoming space.

Shifts are casual, Monday to Friday early mornings and afternoons, plus weekend hours. A Standard DBS check will be carried out.

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer care skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
• Experience in a similar cleaning role or environment is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
• Provide a safe working environment when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Follow all health and safety requirements while colleagues and customers are onsite.
• Work to cleaning schedules and ensure checklists are accurately completed.
• Manage and maintain stock levels, keeping records up to date.
• Clean and return all equipment used.
• Maintain an understanding of the facility to support customers with general enquiries.
• Complete any additional tasks requested by a Supervisor or Duty Manager.

Vetting and checks:

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
