Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Clean Water Modeller / Senior Modeller to join the Water Sector team in Peterborough or Cambridge. You will work on hydraulic modelling, GIS data analysis and stakeholder liaison, contributing to a wide range of domestic and overseas projects.

The role requires initiative, collaboration and a drive to advance technical skills toward ICE or CIWEM, with a focus on delivering high-quality modelling work and client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering / water management related degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to learn and develop technically toward ICE or CIWEM qualification.
• Proactive and motivated to develop technical knowledge and experience.
• Knowledgeable about changes in the UK Water Industry and their design implications.

Overview

Clean Water Modeller / Senior Modeller, Peterborough / Cambridge. AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. The Infrastructure division is seeking an experienced Clean Water Modeller / Senior Modeller to join our Water Sector focused team based in either the Peterborough or Cambridge office. The role will sit within the Asset Planning & Solutions practice of the AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division and will support the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects, both domestically and overseas, involving hydraulic modelling, GIS usage, data analysis, project management assistance and stakeholder liaison.

Your role

About You

The successful individual will be motivated to learn and develop technically, working towards a professional qualification – either ICE or CIWEM. They will be self‑motivated, able to work with others in a variety of project roles, and will take on an appropriate level of responsibility when required. They should be knowledgeable about changes in the Water Industry and their implications for design and performance criteria.

Qualifications

• Engineering / water management related degree or equivalent experience.

Essential Criteria

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
• Proactive and motivated to develop technical knowledge and experience.
• Keen interest and appreciation of the UK Water Industry.
• Demonstrable use of Cleanwater modelling software (InfoWorks, Synergi, InfoWater).
• Excellent team working.

Desirable Criteria

• Good experience in the water industry.
• Experience working with programming software such as FME and Visual Basic.
• Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS).
• Previous field testing and data collection experience in the water industry.
• Full UK driving licence (clean).
