Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Modeller / Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join the Wastewater Team in Peterborough, Epsom or London. You will work on hydraulic modelling frameworks for UK water companies, supporting discharge reduction, flood alleviation and environmental solutions.

You will collaborate across teams to develop catchment strategies, ensure QA across outputs, and contribute to tender responses and staff development. Hybrid working options and flexible holidays are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning and solution development.
• Proven track record coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects independently.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to originate or check work of others to ensure QA and continuous improvement.
• Experience with InfoWorks ICM, GIS tools and ICM Exchange.

Role

Modeller / Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater Team in Peterborough, Epsom or London, working on hydraulic modelling frameworks with leading UK Water Companies.

• Supporting leading Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, flood alleviation and environmental solution development projects.
• Supporting development and delivery of wastewater catchment strategies and solutions.
• Ensuring quality of outputs and compliance with standards & specifications.
• Managing and supporting modelling leads, project managers in project and programme management.
• Assisting in development of tender responses and fee estimates.
• Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance for their professional development.
• Contributing towards technical innovation.

About You

• Effective communication skills and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning and solution development.
• Experience using InfoWorks ICM, GIS software and ICM Exchange.
• Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
• Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects independently.
• Ability to originate and/or check the work of others to provide quality assurance and continuous improvement.
