Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Process / Clean Line Operative for our Netherley facility near Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. You will clean and prepare turbine components to exacting standards, support the repair and overhaul of gas turbines, and work within a busy workshop that emphasizes safety and quality.

We offer a competitive hourly rate with paid overtime, a 9-day fortnight, generous annual leave, and employee discounts. Training is provided to ensure you can succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Flexible, team-oriented approach
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safe working practices
• Previous experience in a cleanline or workshop environment is preferred, but full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Clean and process turbine components using chemical tanks, grit blasting, vapour blasting, and hand cleaning.
• Operate specialist equipment such as ball burnishing machines.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all tasks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

About The Role

At Sulzer GT Aero, we specialize in the repair, overhaul, and field service of industrial, marine, and power gas turbines. This role is based at our Netherley facility near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, a key hub for our turbine operations and customer support.

As a Process / Clean Line Operative, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cleaning turbine components to the highest standards, supporting the delivery of world‑class engineering services.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and process turbine components using chemical tanks, grit blasting, vapour blasting, and hand cleaning.
• Operate specialist equipment such as ball burnishing machines.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all tasks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
