Job summary

Sulzer Pumps (UK) Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex service and overhaul projects from Leeds Service Centre, coordinating engineering, operations, procurement and field service to meet customer commitments safely, on time and within budget.

The role involves acting as the main customer contact for key accounts, managing schedules and costs, and identifying commercial opportunities while building strong relationships for repeat business.

Qualifications

• Proven Project Management experience within engineering, manufacturing, maintenance or industrial services.
• Experience managing customer-facing projects with commercial accountability.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and risk management.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, motors or related industrial systems would be advantageous.
• A recognised Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is desirable.

About the role

At Sulzer, we are a global leader in fluid engineering and rotating equipment services. Our Leeds Service Centre is one of the UK's key operational hubs, providing the repair, refurbishment, maintenance and performance enhancement of pumps, motors and other rotating equipment for customers across the power generation, water, oil & gas, chemical and industrial sectors. The centre supports both workshop-based and field service activities, helping customers maximise reliability, reduce downtime and improve asset performance. As our Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex service and overhaul projects, ensuring customer commitments are met safely, on time and within budget.

The Role

• Managing project delivery from initiation to close-out.

About You

Working Pattern

This role is primarily site-based in Leeds, reflecting its close connection to our operations and team collaboration. However, we take a positive and flexible approach to ways of working, recognising the importance of balance and autonomy, so ad-hoc home working can be supported where appropriate. Alongside this, we offer a 37-hour working week with a flexi-time policy, giving you the ability to bank hours and take them back as service leave, helping you manage your time in a way that works best for you.
