Norfolk is perfectly placed to be a major contributor to the UK economy. With key strengths in clean energy, agri‑food, financial services, advanced manufacture and engineering and digital technology, the county will play a leading role in the industries of the future. However, Norfolk's economy faces significant challenges in achieving this growth whilst also cutting greenhouse gas emissions and sustainably overcoming its infrastructure constraints.

You will be directly responsible for facilitating a whole system, joined up approach to clean growth supporting the delivery of Norfolk County Council's Economic Strategy and Climate Policy, ensuring collaborative engagement with businesses and across different Council service areas and elected members.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects, an in-depth knowledge of the clean growth, climate change and environmental challenges to economic growth and a clear understanding of emerging climate, environmental and planning policies. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders to develop projects from conception through to delivery and a proven ability to negotiate and influence project outcomes.

You will demonstrate an appreciation of operating in a political environment on often contentious and complex matters and demonstrating an ability to collaborate with a range of different stakeholders such as elected members, businesses and government advisory bodies.
