Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking compassionate Classroom Support Workers and Carers to assist children with complex needs in our partner schools in Lichfield. You will support pupils one-to-one or in small groups, helping them access lessons and build independence.

Experience in education, care or healthcare is welcomed, with DBS check and right to work in the UK required. Competitive daily pay and progression opportunities are offered.

Classroom Support Worker & Carer

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay: £90–£120 per day, depending on experience and hours

Connex Education is looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Classroom Support Workers and Carers to support children and young people with complex additional needs in our partner schools in Lichfield.

This is a rewarding opportunity for people with experience in education, care, support work or healthcare, as well as graduates and individuals looking to build a career working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Role

You could be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including:

• Autism and communication difficulties
• ADHD and sensory processing needs
• Speech, language and communication needs
• Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Complex learning difficulties and disabilities
• Challenging or distressed behaviours
• Personal care and intimate care requirements

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to provide one-to-one or small-group support, helping pupils access learning, develop independence and feel safe, supported and included.
