Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking Classroom Support Assistants in Stroud and surrounding areas. The roles involve supporting pupils in primary, secondary and SEND settings, with 1:1 support, small group work, and broader assistance to the class.

Flexible hours include full-time, part-time, term-time, and flexible arrangements. Ideal candidates have experience as Teaching Assistants or in related roles, with a caring, patient, and adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Experience with children or young people is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Support children in the classroom and around the school
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils where needed
• Work with small groups on learning activities
• Support pupils with SEN, SEND and additional needs
• Assist children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Help pupils build confidence, independence and social skills
• Follow school plans and guidance from staff
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, safe environment
