Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting a Classroom Support Assistant to work in schools across Somerset, supporting pupils with a range of needs to achieve their potential. The role offers opportunities in mainstream or SEN settings and is accessible from Taunton and Bridgwater.

You'll work with teachers and support staff to create 1:1 and small group support, with duties including helping children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and other SEND requirements, and following individual plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, care, youth work or coaching is beneficial but not essential.
• A calm, patient and positive approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• A genuine passion for supporting children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Are you looking to start or build your experience as a Classroom Support Assistant in Somerset? Vision for Education are recruiting for a Classroom Support Assistant to work in supportive schools across the Somerset area, helping children with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential. This Classroom Support Assistant role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a mainstream or SEN school setting. This role is easily accessible from Taunton, Bridgwater and the surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you'll support children across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, PMLD, challenging behaviours, Social Emotional Mental Health and other SEND requirements.

You will:
