Job summary

Vision for Education seeks a Classroom Support Assistant to work across KS1–KS2 in Somerset, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream or SEN settings. Roles available full-time, part-time, temporary, and temp-to-perm, with travel-friendly sites around Taunton and surrounding areas.

You'll assist with learning, behaviour management and individual support plans, gaining hands-on experience in diverse school environments. DBS checks and safeguarding procedures are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, care, youth work or coaching is beneficial but not essential
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for supporting children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Vision for Education are recruiting for a Classroom Support Assistant to work in supportive schools across the Somerset area, helping children with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential. This Classroom Support Assistant role is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a mainstream or SEN school setting. This role is easily accessible from Taunton, Bridgwater and the surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you'll support children across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, PMLD, challenging behaviours, Social Emotional Mental Health and other SEND requirements.

You will:
