Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school on a long-term basis. You will work with teachers to support pupils’ learning, promote positive behaviour, and help create an engaging classroom environment where every student can thrive.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, assisting with lesson preparation, maintaining an inclusive atmosphere, and contributing to students’ educational, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting students’ educational, social, and emotional development.
• Encouraging student engagement and participation in learning activities.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
