Working within a school's Home Economics department until 18th December 2026, the postholder prepares ingredients for lessons, portions items according to recipes, and compiles shopping lists. Duties also involve loading the dishwasher and washing machine, tidying the classroom, maintaining clean food preparation areas, and restocking cupboards and fridges alongside other reasonable tasks. Applicants should be organised, practical, and comfortable following recipes and hygiene standards. A PVG check for children is required, costing £59 or £18 for an update. Location – Barnton area of Edinburgh
Hours – Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week (4 hours daily during school hours)
Pay rate - £13.66 per hour
Start date – asap
Duration – until 18th December 2026
