Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks a School Cook for various sites across Edinburgh, offering 24 to 36 hours weekly at £14.27 per hour. This temporary, ongoing contract may become permanent.

Duties include preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals daily, with advance preparation for weekend service, ordering supplies, managing stock, completing temperature checks and maintaining food safety records. Daily hygiene and compliance checks keep the kitchen clean and organised for each service.

Candidates need relevant cooking experience, sound knowledge of food safety, and strong organisational skills. A PVG Certificate for Children, or Children and Adults, is required; the £59 new application or £18 update fee is payable by the successful applicant. Start date is ASAP, subject to background checks.

Location: Edinburgh – Various locations; Hours: 24–36 hours per week available; Pay Rate: £14.27 per hour; Duration: Temporary ongoing, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity; Start Date: ASAP, subject to completion of background checks.
