Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant in Shrewsbury to support students with SEMH needs. You will provide targeted behavioural support, build positive relationships and help students regulate their behaviour to engage with learning.

This temporary role offers flexibility across daily supply, longer-term or permanent placements through Protocol Education, with access to a dedicated consultant and CPD courses.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people with SEMH needs.
• Confident, proactive and able to manage challenging behaviour positively.
• Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable students.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.

A school in Shrewsbury is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a consistent and supportive environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people with SEMH needs
• Is confident, proactive, and able to manage challenging behaviour positively
• Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable students
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Holds knowledge of behaviour management strategies
