Class Teacher with SENCO

Vacancy for: Class Teacher with SENCO
Required from: September 2025
Salary Grade: MPS plus TLR2C
Working hours: Full time
Contract type: Permanent

We are seeking an exceptional SENCO and Class Teacher to join our dedicated team at Walmsley CE Primary School. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the school's special educational needs policy and provision, working closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure that students with SEN receive the support they need. You will also play a key role in liaising with external agencies and ensuring the school meets its obligations under the Equality Act.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the school's special educational needs policy and provision
  • Work with students, parents, and staff to identify and support students with SEN
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure the school meets its obligations
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of an engaging and inclusive curriculum
  • Promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity in your classroom
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • NASENCO/NPQSENCO or willingness to undertake
  • Relevant experience in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to professional development
Desirable Qualities:
  • Experience in a SENCO role or similar leadership position
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Passion for creating an inclusive learning environment
