Class Teacher

With QTS qualification, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all students, is required for Avanti House Primary School, part of Avanti Schools Trust, based in Stanmore, North West London.

SALARY: MPS1 – UPS3 + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Stanmore, North West London (HA7)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 32.5 hours per week (all year round)

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Class Teacher with QTS qualification, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a dedication to student welfare.

As a Class Teacher, your role will involve crafting engaging lessons, assessing and monitoring students’ progress, and providing regular feedback to support their development.

You will establish a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where discipline and respect are paramount, setting a positive example through your teaching and conduct.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the learning, progress, and wellbeing of all pupils, ensuring equality and maintaining high standards of work and conduct.

  • Engage in continuous professional development, reflecting on and improving your teaching practices, and contributing to the wider school community.

  • Promote and safeguard student welfare, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related subject.
  • QTS qualification.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and carers.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
