Job Title: Primary Teacher (Y3/4 Mixed Class – SEN & Behavior Focus)

About the Role:

We are working closely with a dynamic and forward-thinking primary school in Mottingham, South East London, to recruit an experienced and resilient Key Stage 2 teacher. This is a full-time, permanent role teaching within a mixed Year 3/4 class that includes a high number of children with SEN and challenging behaviour.

This position is ideal for a teacher with strong behaviour management skills, a calm and consistent approach, and a deep understanding of effective SEN strategies. The role requires patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to building positive relationships with all learners.

You’ll be part of a team of three Year 3/4 teachers, working collaboratively to plan and deliver a pre-written curriculum framework. However, creativity and adaptability are essential to tailor learning experiences to suit a diverse range of pupil needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver creative and inclusive lessons to a mixed-age Y3/4 class
• Implement strategies to manage behavior positively and consistently
• Support children with a range of SEN needs, adapting teaching as required
• Work closely with colleagues, SENCO, and support staff
• Track and report on pupil progress, implementing interventions as needed
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

Requirements:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience in KS2 (ideally with Y3/4) and with SEN/challenging behavior
• Excellent classroom and behavior management skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A proactive, nurturing, and reflective teaching style
