VACANCY FOR Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Salary: MPS / UPS

Hours of work: Full Time

We are seeking a qualified primary teacher to cover maternity leave and teach a Key Stage 2 class. This is an excellent opportunity for gaining experience in a special school setting and developing classroom skills. As our school expands, there are also prospects for permanent positions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Teaching a Key Stage 2 class of eight pupils with diverse abilities.
  2. Contributing to the wider curriculum, including leading specific curriculum areas.
  3. Developing expertise in teaching pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  4. Working within a school that adopts a therapeutic approach to behaviour and relationships.
  5. Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  6. Developing schemes of learning, monitoring, and assessment.
  7. Building strong relationships with pupils to support their engagement.
  8. Participating in the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced primary teacher.
  • Confident in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Ability to develop schemes of learning and conduct assessments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with pupils.
