Saxmundham Primary is a thriving 315-place primary school with a nursery for children from three years old. The school has a strong community ethos and we are committed to meeting the needs of our children and families through a broad curriculum and pastoral offer. Our enthusiastic pupils behave well and have a real enthusiasm for learning and all aspects of school life. Supported by a dedicated teaching team, very supportive parents, local advisors and trustees, we offer a well-equipped working environment and opportunities for fully supported career professional development within the school and our trust.
From September 2025, we are looking to recruit a dedicated Class Teacher to join our team at Saxmundham Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our young learners.
We are proud to be part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Farlingaye High School, Kesgrave High School, Bungay High School, Castle East School, Holbrook High School, EAST SCITT, and four other primary schools: Wickham Market, Easton, Aldeburgh, and Leiston, with whom we work closely.
We are a Teaching School Hub partner, which allows us to improve teaching and learning continuously. We are committed to providing excellent staff opportunities through developing and promoting our staff and offering an excellent CPD and support programme for new staff. We are also pleased to have launched our own teacher training provider: EAST SCITT, which enables us to award QTS and also QTS + PGCE Programmes within both primary and secondary schools.
