Job summary

An exceptional special school in Gloucester is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join its expanding team. You will teach a small class of pupils with SEND, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.

You will be supported by experienced staff and leadership, with outstanding facilities and ongoing SEND training. This role suits both experienced SEND teachers and mainstream teachers transitioning into specialist education.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
  • Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged pupils in SEND.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt learning to meet a range of needs.
  • Patient, creative and resilient approach.
  • Previous SEND experience desirable but not essential.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
