Job summary

The Education Network in Gloucester is seeking a Class Teacher to join a specialist SEND setting. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to a small class of pupils with additional needs, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants, specialist staff and a strong leadership team, with ongoing SEND training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching primary or secondary-aged pupils.
  • Ability to teach in a specialist SEND setting with inclusive practices.
  • Experience collaborating with Teaching Assistants and other professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaged, personalised lessons to a small class of pupils with SEND.
  • Adapt learning to meet a range of needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom.

The Role:
  • Teaching a small class of pupils with special educational needs

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged pupils
  • A passion for inclusive education and SEND
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • The ability to adapt learning to meet a range of needs
  • A patient, creative and resilient approach
  • Previous SEND experience (desirable but not essential)
