Main Pay Scale M3-M6
To start September 2025 fixed term temporary contract.
Full-time, temporary, but may lead to more.

The position is for a full-time class teacher in a Key Stage 2 class, starting 1st September 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026.

The role

Key Stage 2 Class teacher required for September 2025 for a full time temporary 1 year contract.
Main pay scale: M3-M6 but teachers above M6 are also welcome to apply.

The role will be in Key Stage 2 and the desire to work collaboratively with colleagues and to be involved in the full life of the school is essential. A passion for and proven track record for teaching mathematics would be desirable. Please mention any other curriculum strengths or interests in your application.

Experience

  • Evidence of a commitment to professional development
  • Successful teaching experience within the primary range as a class teacher
  • Experience of managing behaviour positively and effectively as a class teacher
  • Proven track record of being a highly effective mathematics teacher

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good subject knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Clear philosophy of Primary Education which puts the child at the centre of the process
  • Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Committed to meeting the needs of all children
  • An awareness of the principles of effective assessment which empowers children as learners
  • Understands the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety and SEN

Be able to:

  • motivate and inspire pupils
  • develop good personal relationships within a team
  • manage workload and plan effectively
  • use the learning environment to enhance achievement
  • use ICT effectively
  • lead and develop a subject area in line with the school development plan or have an interest in developing a subject in the future.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Honours degree
