Job summary

Bishops Lydeard Church School is seeking a Class Teacher for a 0.2 FTE position, working Mondays in Year 5/6. The post is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027, with a Main Pay Scale 1 - 6 and a pro rata salary.

The role requires commitment to high standards, safeguarding and active participation in the school community. The Bath & Wells MAT emphasises safeguarding and a strong Christian ethos; interviews will follow the specified timetable.

• Part-time
• 0.2 FTE - 6.5 hours per week - Mondays Only
• Fixed term contract until 31st August 2027 due to budget
• Main Pay Scale 1 - 6
• £32,916 - £45,352 FTE per annum, pro rata
• Actual salary from £6,583 - £9,070 per annum

The children, staff and governors are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to promoting high standards of teaching and learning within an exciting and motivating learning environment, where children have fun and enjoy learning. The post will be within our Year 5/6 class.

The successful candidate will need to:

• show commitment to high standards for all pupils in both learning and behaviour
• have a keen eye for progress and how best to support and maximise this for all learners
• be responsive to the children's needs academically, socially and emotionally
• hold safeguarding for all at the forefront of their responsibilities
