CLASS/COVER SUPERVISOR

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team from 1^st September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, is considering a career in teaching, or wants to take a step back from full-time teaching.

LGA Pay Scale 5, Point 13-17 £28,163 - £30,060 full-time equivalent. Actual pro-rata salary £23,976 - £24,975 per annum. The hours of work are 33.75 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15am-3.30pm (term time only, paid for 47.36 weeks per year). The actual starting salary for the successful candidate is £23,976 per annum (Pay Award Pending from April 2025).

We require an enthusiastic, confident person to supervise students during the short-term absence of a teacher. You will ensure students carry out pre-prepared lessons; planning or marking work will not be required. The Cover Supervisor will maintain good order, keep students on task, respond to questions, and assist them with set activities. The successful candidate should support students and have a love for learning. You will work as part of a team or independently under the guidance of the Assistant Head and Cover Administrator. The role involves supervising students, providing academic mentoring, and contributing to the school community. Please refer to the detailed job description for more information.
