Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Peterborough is looking for a dedicated MOT Tester / Service Mechanic. You will perform DVSA inspections on Class 4 and light commercial vehicles, log findings, and carry out pre-MOT repairs and routine servicing for a varied client base.

The role requires a valid DVSA licence, Level 3 qualifications or time-served garage background, a full UK driving licence, and your own hand tools. On-site parking is available with a Monday–Saturday rota as described.

Qualifications

• Valid DVSA Smart Card or active MOT Tester Licence required.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent time-served background.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DVSA inspections on Class 4 and light commercial vehicles.
• Log test findings accurately and perform pre-MOT repairs and routine servicing.

• Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team efficiency bonus
• Hours: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis

Role Overview

Seeking a dedicated MOT Tester / Service Mechanic to join our workshop team. You will be responsible for conducting compliant DVSA inspections on Class 4 and light commercial vehicles, logging test findings accurately, and performing pre-MOT repairs and routine servicing across a varied customer vehicle mix.

Requirements
