Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Class 2 Waste and Cleansing Driver in Nottingham. You will operate HGV Class 2 vehicles on designated routes, lead a small crew, perform safety checks, and ensure high standards of service and safety on every shift.

The role requires a valid Category C licence and Driver CPC, with a 37-hour week at Eastcroft Depot. Evening/weekend flexibility and in-cab tech experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 waste and cleansing vehicles on designated routes.

Job Purpose

As a Class 2 Waste and Cleansing Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating HGV Class 2 vehicles while leading waste collection and cleansing crews across Nottingham City. You will ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required environmental and customer service standards.

Essential Experience Required

Experience driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles.

Experience working within:

Experience using in-cab technology and electronic reporting systems.

Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle compliance requirements.

Essential Qualifications Required

• Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) Driving Licence.
  
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  
• Ability to drive vehicles from 3.5t up to 7.5t and HGV Class 2 vehicles.
  
• Right to Work in the UK.
  

Additional Information to Note

• Working hours: 37 hours per week.
  
• Shift Pattern:
  • Monday to Friday
    
  • 14:00 – 22:00
    
• Location: Eastcroft Depot, Nottingham.
  
• Reason for Hire: Pending Permanent Recruitment.
  
• Induction Date: 28th September 2026 (mandatory start date).
