Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver for a 3-month temporary contract based in Eastcroft, Nottingham.

You will operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, conduct daily safety checks, support waste collection crews, and ensure service delivery to required standards. The shift runs 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with induction on 3 August. Attendance is essential, and prior local authority experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Knowledge of road traffic legislation and safe driving practices.
• Experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Experience leading or coordinating small teams.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with road traffic legislation and Council procedures.
• Lead and support operational crews during daily service delivery.
• Allocate tasks and provide work instructions.
• Monitor route progress and ensure timely service delivery.
• Represent the Council professionally to residents and the public.
