Job summary

Driver Hire York is seeking a Class 2 driver for an immediate start in Selby. The role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle and manual handling of tyres, with full training provided. It is a temporary/ongoing position that could lead to permanent for the right candidate.

Requirements include 06:00 start, good physical fitness, LGV C licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. PAYE weekly pay and 8 hours minimum per day are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Full LGV C (Class 2) licence.
• Must have a valid Driver CPC.
• Must have a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be physically fit for manual tyre handling.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle on site routes and perform tyre collection.
• Manually handle tyres and waste tyres during loading and unloading.
• Return to reprocessing site and cooperate with training and induction.

Job description

We have a Class 2 driving opportunity for the right candidate with an immediate start.This will be a temporary / ongoing position for our client based in Selby which could lead to a temp to perm position for the right candidate.

The job involves manual handling of tyres as well as driving and is quite mucky as you will be dealing with waste tyres. Class 2 drivers will do 1 run collecting 600 scrap tyres and take them back to the reprocessing site. Full training and induction will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be able to start 06.00am
• This is an active role, so a good level of physical fitness is needed
• Full LGV C (Class 2) licence
• A valid Driver CPC
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card

The successful driver can expect

• £14.50 / hour
