Job summary

Get Staff is recruiting for a Category 2 Tramper Driver (HGV2/LGV2/Class 2) based in Southampton. You will be responsible for safely operating vehicles, delivering to businesses, and maintaining accurate paperwork, with occasional weekend shifts and a minimum of 10 hours weekly paid at competitive rates.

This temp-to-perm role requires a clean licence (no more than 6 points) and at least 1 year of HGV driving experience, with overtime options and a supportive 24/7 team. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV2/LGV2/Class 2 licence required.
• Minimum 1 year of HGV driving experience.
• Experience with HGV2 delivery tramping.
• Clean licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGV2/LGV2/Class 2 vehicles to deliveries.
• Ensure secure loading and tail-lift offloads where required.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain communication with operations and customers.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks.

• Availability Required: Monday to Friday (4 nights out per week)

The Job- Category 2 Tramper Driver (HGV2, LGV2, CAT C, Class 2)

• Safely drive and operate HGV2 / LGV2 / Class 2 vehicles
• Ensuring items are transported securely
• All deliveries are to businesses, though most will require tail-lift offload
• Some handball may be required, but any loose items are very light
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and safety regulations during operations
• Ensure accurate completion of all delivery paperwork and digital records
• Provide excellent customer service when delivering to clients
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any defects or maintenance issues
• Work efficiently to meet delivery timeframes in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain good communication with the operations team and customers
• Ensure compliance with the company's health and safety policies and procedures
