Job summary

LME Recruitment Limited is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 tramper drivers to join our busy logistics team in Southampton. You will carry out vehicle checks, coordinate deliveries with the transport office, and maintain accurate records throughout shifts.

Role involves driving Mon-Fri, up to 55 hours weekly, with overtime at higher rates and various allowances. Join a growing team that values safety, reliability and strong customer service at every delivery point.

• Coordinating with the transport office for route planning and delivery schedules
• Keeping accurate logbooks, delivery records, and paperwork
• Securing loads and ensuring all cargo is transported safely
• Following all safety regulations and maintaining a safety-first attitude
• Providing friendly, professional customer service at every delivery point
• Looking after your vehicle, both inside and out

Job description

BASIC Based on up to 55 hours per week (11 Hrs a day) £14.50 per hour

OVERTIME RATE 11+ M-F

11+ Hours Mon-Fri £17.50 per hour

NIGHT OUT ALLOWANCE

TAX Free £26.20 per night

MEAL ALLOWANCE

TAX free £10.00 per day

OVERTIME RATE

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Holiday Allowance: 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays, rising with length of service)
