Job summary

Mick George Group in Cambridge is seeking a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver to join our new team, transporting trade waste from businesses across East Anglia. Full internal training is provided to support your role.

Starting at £17 per hour with potential to earn up to £44,200 annually (based on a 50-hour week) and a bonus of £6,500 per year for performance and attendance. Typical hours are 5–6am starts, finishing around 3–4pm, with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Previous trade waste experience is required.
• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence is required.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Tachograph card are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Collect & Transport trade waste to waste transfer stations.
• Load and unload bins using truck mechanism, ensuring safe operation.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow road safety rules and driving regulations (Working Time Directive).
• Secure loads to meet weight and safety requirements.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and deliver customer service.
• Drive safely with good geographical knowledge.
