Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking Class 2 (Category C) Tipper Drivers to join a well-established client on an ongoing basis. You’ll drive Class 2 tipper vehicles and deliver aggregates to construction sites, quarries, and commercial locations, with full training provided to help you succeed.

Weekdays only, starting at 6:45am, with average 10-hour shifts and weekly PAYE pay. You'll perform daily vehicle checks, follow routes safely, and benefit from ongoing support and CPC/licence upgrade

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• At least 1 year Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 tipper vehicles.
• Deliver aggregates to construction sites, quarries, and commercial locations.
• Complete deliveries safely and efficiently while following scheduled routes.

Whether you’re experienced with tipper vehicles or looking to gain new skills, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed.

The Role:

As a Class 2 Tipper Driver, you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving Class 2 tipper vehicles
• Delivering aggregate materials to construction sites, quarries, and commercial locations
• Completing deliveries safely and efficiently while following scheduled routes
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and adhering to all health and safety procedures

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 6:45am start
• Average 10-hour shifts
• Weekly pay (PAYE or PAYE Advanced)
• Minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift
• 2–3 days of fully paid client training
• Ongoing, reliable weekday work
• CPC course and licence upgrade discounts for long-term drivers
• Friendly, experienced local team providing ongoing support

What we’re looking for:

To be considered, you’ll need:

• A valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• At least 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Excellent timekeeping and a professional attitude

Previous tipper experience is beneficial butnot essential, as full training will be provided.
